Materials

Roofing systems we install

Every material has a place. The right one depends on your home, your budget, and how long you plan to stay.

Architectural Shingle

The Valley workhorse. Dimensional asphalt shingles with 130 mph wind ratings and algae resistance, in a wide range of colors.

Lifespan: 20–30 years
Best for: Most residential homes

Standing Seam Metal

Concealed-fastener metal panels. Reflects Valley heat, sheds hail, and carries the best wind ratings available.

Lifespan: 40–70 years
Best for: Long-term owners

Clay & Concrete Tile

Classic for Spanish and Mediterranean architecture across the Valley. Extremely durable, excellent in heat, and it looks the part.

Lifespan: 50+ years
Best for: Spanish-style homes

Flat & Low-Slope

TPO and modified bitumen membrane for flat sections, patio covers, and additions. Fully sealed seams and correct drainage.

Lifespan: 20–30 years
Best for: Flat roof sections

What’s Included

Everything in a full replacement

A roof replacement is more than shingles. Here’s what’s in every job we quote — itemized on your estimate, not hidden in a lump sum.

Warranty & Financing

Covered two ways

A roof is only as good as what stands behind it. You get both layers of protection.

Manufacturer material warranty

Covers defects in the roofing material itself, with terms set by the manufacturer and tied to the product line you choose. We register it for you.

Our written workmanship warranty

Covers our installation. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no cost to you.

Manufacturer warranties are often voided by improper installation, which is the most common reason homeowners find out too late that they aren’t covered. Installing to spec is not optional for us.

4

Cleanup & walkthrough

Full debris haul, magnet sweep for nails, then we walk the property with you before handing over the warranty.

Replacement Questions

What homeowners ask before replacing

Physically, sometimes. We generally won’t. A layover hides whatever is wrong with the decking underneath, adds serious weight, traps heat in an already brutal Valley climate, and shortens the life of the new roof. It also voids many manufacturer warranties.

Tear-off costs more up front and is nearly always the better value over the life of the roof.

No. Most families stay home through the whole thing. It’s loud — genuinely loud — so if you work from home or have a napping toddler you may want to plan around the tear-off day specifically. We’ll also ask you to move vehicles out of the driveway.

We show you before we replace it. Decking damage is impossible to fully assess until the old roof comes off, so every estimate we write includes a clear per-sheet price for replacement sheathing. You’ll know the rate before work begins, and you’ll see photos of every sheet we pull.

It depends on square footage, pitch, material, the complexity of the roof, and how much decking needs replacing. We give fixed written prices after inspecting, itemized so you see where the money goes. Financing is available on approved credit.

If the damage came from a covered event like hail or wind, often yes. Insurance does not cover wear and tear or age. If your roof is simply old, that’s on you.

What Valley Homeowners Say

Straight answers, solid work

The same thing keeps coming up in our reviews: we showed up, we told the truth, and we did what we said we’d do.

Two other companies told me I needed a full replacement. RGV came out, found three cracked boots and some bad flashing, and fixed it for a fraction of the price. That was two rainy seasons ago and it's still dry.

They put a standing seam metal roof on our new build in Edinburg. Crew was clean, on time, and the finish work around the chimney and valleys is genuinely beautiful. Our A/C bill dropped noticeably too.

After the hail came through they documented everything and met our adjuster on the roof. The claim got approved without a fight. We paid our deductible and that was it. Huge relief.
